The medical profession has taken very little interest during this downside

The medical profession has taken terribly little interest during this problem, potential as a result of most doctors are significant smokers themselves and would be placed in a rather hypocritical position if they urged their patients not to smoke as they continued doing thus themselves. But, if a patient suffers from a coronary occlusion, he is usually told to allow up smoking as a part of the treatment. While the bulk works independently, some are employed by different Chiropractors in Toronto or work in a bunch practice. I’ve got known several doctors who smoked and have given it up immediately and permanently following a coronary attack. One may ask, “If it is not smart after the attack, why not stop it before it happens?” Whether or not smoking is considered a type of drug addiction, most people can break the habit if they extremely wish to badly enough and if they are totally convinced that their health or lives are threatened. The scriptures tell us, ”Ye shall apprehend the reality, and the reality shall build you free.” Philosophizing and moralizing will not do it; the reality might. What are some of the facts about smoking?
The July 16, 1956 issue of Newsweek had this to say on the subject.1
At a British Medical Association conference in Brighton last week, 350 doctors locked horns over a “No Smoking” rule. “Smoking is the most serious habit within the country,” Dr. J. O. McDonagh asserted, ”…Like different health practitioners, Chiropractor in Toronto are sometimes on their ft for lengthy periods. we tend to of the medical profession offer surprising examples of drugging ourselves all the time.”
The British Medical Journal of November ten, 1956 said that smoking was involved with the development of lung cancer, coronary thrombosis and an “vital cause within the breakdown of inactive pulmonary tuberculosis.” The article concluded:
The new proof makes it a lot of than ever imperative to see that the public is repeatedly informed of the potential dangers to health and life from smoking cigarettes.
